| Welcome to West Malling Church of England Primary School
Our school is set in the attractive countryside village of West Malling in the heart of Kent. It is the church school for the parish of West Malling. We provide an exceptionally high level of differentiated learning opportunities, meeting the needs of every child, including Gifted and Able and those with Learning Difficulties. We achieve this through integration, small group teaching, treating each child as unique and developing their individual strengths, whilst utilising state of the art resources, a stimulating environment and committed and talented teaching staff with high expectations of their pupils. |

- develop all our children in their understanding of academic, social, moral, personal, spiritual and cultural issues;
- develop lively enquiring minds;
- work in partnership with parents and the community;
- develop our children’s ability to question and argue rationally;
- help our children acquire knowledge and skills relevant to adult life and employment in a fast changing world;
- respect and understand moral and religious values of other races, religions and ways of life;
- create a learning environment for all.
In order to pursue these aims, the curriculum provided will be:
- BROAD so that there is the opportunity for pupils to achieve success in a range of knowledge and skills;
- BALANCED so that each area of learning and experience is given attention in relation to others and to the curriculum;
- RELEVANT to the pupils now and to adult life;
- DIFFERENTIATED according to the ability and aptitude of each child;
