The School, a listed granite building on three levels is situated in the Mounthooly area of Aberdeen City. The School was built in Victorian Times and was opened for pupils in February 1876. The building has been much altered since then and improvements still continue to enable us to deliver a high quality, modern education suitable for the twenty first century.
At present the accommodation consists of the following:
· A spacious nursery classroom
· Various primary classrooms
· A library
· An art room
· A support for learning base
· A computer suite
· A general purposes room (used for school assemblies amongst other things)
· A gymnasium
· A dining hall and separate packed lunch room
· A Head Teacher’s office
· A School Administrator’s office
· A staff room
· A teachers’ resource room
· A school doctor’s /school nurse’s room
· A janitor’s office
We have spacious play areas to the rear of the building consisting of:
· A tarred football pitch for use by Primary 4 to Primary 7 children
· A tarred playground for use by all children in the school
· A grassed area with mature trees and bushes and sturdy wooden play equipment |
