Meldrum School is situated in the town of Oldmeldrum, six miles from Inverurie and seventeen miles from Aberdeen. It is situated in Meadowbank off Commercial Road, which leads from the square towards Inverurie, which is six miles from Oldmeldrum.

The school has a Nursery and Primary Department with 50 children in the Nursery and 306 pupils in P1 - 7. There is a Curriculum Support Unit and a Developmental Nursery for children with moderate learning difficulties.

PTA

Meldrum School Parent/Teacher Association comprises of a dedicated and very hard working group of parents and teachers whose aim is to work together for the benefit of the whole school. Meldrum School P.T.A. organise and hold a number of very successful fundraising activities throughout
the school year. These can include childrens’ discos; Easter Fayre; Health and Beauty Night; Beetle Drives etc. Monies
are also raised by selling calendars or tea towels which have been personalised by the children both in the school and the nursery. These are always a great success.

The P.T.A. raises a significant amount of money which has been used to purchase interactive whiteboards and
projectors; laptop computers; role play equipment for early stages children;gym equipment and a great deal more. The P.T.A have paid for the children to watch visiting Theatre
Companies perform their latest productions. They have paid towards the cost of transport for school trips and always provide the refreshments for the school and nursery sports days.
