About our school...
Oldmachar Academy is situated to the north of the city in an area of private housing. It is a six-year comprehensive, non-denominational school which opened to pupils in August 1982 (April 1983 on its present site).
The school consists of seven blocks built to form an irregular quadrangle, with playing fields to the north of the school.
The roll is fairly constant and the school has been roll-capped by Aberdeen City Council and stands at 1,065 at present. We have 12 classrooms of ‘temporary’ hutted accommodation, as well as ‘semi-permanent relocatable’ buildings for Biology, Chemistry, Modern Languages and Physical Education.
