CLUBS

Stukeley Meadows Out Of School Club
Contact: Claire McEwan 0794 0326838

We are a team of professional people who specialise in childcare for primary aged children. The club has been established since 1999 and the idea developed as a result of the demand for childcare in the area. We meet in the Community lounge of Stukeley Meadows Primary School and have three strands to our club:

  • the after school club bridges the gap between school and home time, with three hours of fun packed activities
  • our holiday club fills the time with action packed activities and trips and takes away the stress of finding childcare for 11 weeks of the year!
  • our breakfast club is our children's own version of the 'Big Breakfast', a big help for the early bird working parents

Out of school Club kids love their club because .....

    √   Staff listen to them
    √   Staff talk to them
√   Staff watch them to see what interests them
This means that when our team get together each term to design club activities, we know how to create an exciting programme which is tailored to suit all our children.

We are open from 7.45 - 9.00 am and 3.15 - 6.00 pm during term time and 7.45 am - 6.00 pm throughout holiday periods. We are closed bank holidays, the period between Christmas and New Year and the first two weeks of the summer holiday.

Admissions and fees can be discussed by contacting
Claire McEwan on 07940 326836 who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

SCHOOL COUNCIL

NEW REPS ELECTED FOR SCHOOL COUNCIL
Click here to see who was elected

Our school council is made up of members from Years 1 to 6. The council has got a secretary, a chairperson and a treasurer. The link teacher is Miss Barry and she shares the ideas of the school council with the other teaches.

Sometimes we have visitors who are able to listen and share their own thoughts and ideas. The school council spends time discussing things that are important to our school and make us feel more like a community.

We have recently been thinking of a theme for the summer fete, as well as designing a stage for the playground. Pupils become members of the school council when they are voted in by their class.

Children who practise the Golden Rules are rewarded each Friday by being able to choose a fun activity for half an hour. Children who break the Golden Rules may lose their Golden Time in 5 minute blocks, but they are able to earn it back throughout the week.

The Classroom Golden Rules

  • Do be gentle
  • Do be kind and helpful
  • Do play well with others
  • Do listen to people
  • Do be honest

The Playground Golden Rules also include

  • Do care for your playground
  • Do keep to the playground safety rules

These rules are displayed in every class area and outside on the playground notice board.
