  • To raise standards of achievement for all pupils.
  • To nurture the spiritual, social and moral development of our pupils by encouraging both a caring approach and an appreciation of their responsibilities towards other people.
  • To maintain and develop our links with the local and wider community.
  • To promote equal opportunities for all of our pupils and to encourage respect and understanding for other races, religions and ways of life.
  • To provide those resources which are necessary to fulfil our aims and to ensure that these are used flexibly and efficiently.

PROSPECTUS

Hollinhey Primary School is a friendly caring school where pupils feel secure and valued. Relationships with Parents are very good. The teaching is good and the school has successfully implemented the literacy and numeracy strategies. Pupils achieve high standards in English and mathematics. The curriculum for the under fives is good."
Ofsted Inspection Report January 2000 ".

Hollinhey was opened in 1970; the building provides us with excellent opportunities for a wide range of activities. It includes a large hall, a central environmental area and seven classrooms. Outside, we are very lucky to have large playgrounds and playing fields which are surrounded by beautiful countryside. The children are aged from 4 - 11 years old, covering the seven Primary year groups. At present we have 169 pupils who are organised into six classes.
