Our School
St Saviour's Catholic Junior School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 7-11 years. We model our community on Christ's values as expressed in the Gospels. Our school provides a caring and friendly environment where everyone is respected and valued. We aim to develop the whole child and therefore place great emphasis on the development of the spiritual, academic, physical and social abilities of our pupils. We all work in partnership, the teaching and support staff, governors, parents, children, the parish and the wider community. We particularly recognise and value the contribution that parents make to the education of the children. Working together ensures that the children learn and grow in a disciplined, industrious, exciting and challenging environment.
St. Saviours Catholic Junior School was opened in 1966 and is a well maintained building in extensive grounds, traditionally built with eight individual classrooms. It provides a well stocked library, music and technology room! The building is arranged on two floors around a central courtyard. The school serves the parish of St. Saviours with most children transfering from St. Saviours Catholic Infant School. We have close links with the Infant School and aim to build on the high standards set there.
We are in the fortunate position of being able to provide excellent 'Breakfast' and 'After' School Clubs for our pupils! This facility is situated in the Infant School building and accepts pupils from both the Junior and Infant School. The Club provides safe, stimulating childcare every school day offering supervised activities by fully qualified staff.
