A Top Ten School.
(Identified by the Sunday Times Educational Supplement.)
Our school has again been named this year by the Times Newspaper Parent Power survey as one of the TOP TEN PRIMARY SCHOOLS in
NORTHERN IRELAND as selected by the end of Key Stage Assessments and Inspection Reports.
This is the fifth time in the last
six years that our school has been named in the top ten, a recognition which we understand is unprecedented for a primary school in
N.Ireland. As a staff we are delighted to have again received such recognition and we would attribute this success to the children attending King's Park, the quality of relationships across the whole school community and to hard work day by day.
'Primary Choice' - choosing the primary school for your child is possibly one of the most important decisions you will take or have already taken as a parent. If you have already chosen to send your child to King's Park I hope this evening gives you another opportunity to view the classrooms throughout our school and to see and hear about some of the things your child enjoys doing at King's Park. If you, as a prospective parent, have still to make that decision we hope tonight will give you an opportunity to view King's Park and to see what we as a Primary School has to offer.

Dear Parent
Another school year has started and we are all getting back into the routine of the school day. At the outset of this new year can I again say to all parents that we at King's Park Primary School have always, and will continue to put the best interests of your child as our first priority.
Should you at any time during the year ahead have concerns please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher or myself.
I would take this opportunity to especially welcome all new parents and pupils to the school. I trust that your association with King's Park will be a long and happy one.
At the start of each year we remind parents of some of the points to ensure that the day to day arrangements work for the benefit of all. This year we have put this information into a short booklet form and all parents are asked to retain this booklet throughout the year for your information. We would also ask all parents to be ever vigilant in terms of Child Protection and Pastoral Care and go over very firmly with your children the GOLDEN RULES.
Never go away with anyone unless one of your parents has told you to.
If your mother is supposed to pick you up from school and someone else turns up - do not go with them - tell a teacher.
If approached keep your arms tucked in so you cannot be grabbed. Run straight home or to someone you know.
If offered sweets, a puppy, toys or a ride home in a car - take nothing, don?t trust people you do not know.
Never stop to play in a lonely place and try to be home before dark - always tell your parents where you will be.
A stranger may pretend he knows you but never let anyone touch you, hold your arm or try to cuddle you.
If you feel someone is watching you or following you home from school, tell the teacher or your parents. Remember - no one will be cross if you are wrong.
Some strangers can look nice - don?t go with them; never believe them. If in doubt - shout for help as loudly as you can.
