Seagoe Primary School is a Church of Ireland Maintained School in Portadown, Northern Ireland. It was re-established in 1975 as a replacement to Seagoe Old School and is open to all children between the ages of three and eleven. |

Our ultimate aim at Seagoe is to promote a caring, happy and disciplined environment which will be conducive to learning and will develop in pupils the capacity to become contributing members of society. |

To offer a curriculum that is balanced and broadly based and which promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, intellectual and phsyical development of the pupils.
To prepare the pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.
To maximise the potential of each pupil, to develop self-confidence in the pupils and to promote a spirit of tolerance towards others.
To encourage the desire to learn in pupils and to stimulate their thinking and their reasoning.
To develop in pupils positive attitudes towards both learning and sound moral values based on the Christian Religion.
To make certain that no pupil is debarred from any part of the curriculum on grounds of sex or any other reason.

Curriculum Delivery
As stated, Seagoe Primary School endeavours to provide a broad and balanced curriculum across all Areas of Study including the Cross-Curricular Themes. SPS fulfills the statutory requirements for the Cross-Curricular Themes of Education for Mutual Understanding (EMU), Cultural Heritage, Information Technology and Health Education. The school is well equipped for the study of Science and Technology and all children will be given the opportunity for practical involvement in these subjects. |
Oppurtunities and experience of a wide variety of Information Technology runs right through a child's time in SPS. All classrooms are equipped with computer systems to allow every child ample "hands on" experience. Non-denominational religious education is available to all children. Local Clergy are invited to visit the school regularly to participate in School Assemblies.
