PRINCIPALS WELCOME

principal 001s.jpgFrom the very beginning the schools founded by St. John Baptist De La Salle had as their end the salvation of young people.  In today’s world, changed radically since De La Salle’s time, this fundamental aim of the Brothers’ schools remains essentially the same. Lasallian schools throughout the world are characterised by the determination to make the means of salvation available to young people through a quality education and
by an explicit proclamation of Jesus Christ.

We provide a quality education through the encouragement of personal growth and responsibility, and a school environment which is both caring and challenging. The pupils feel part of our community and when they leave they do so with happy memories.  They will remember De La Salle as a warm and welcoming school where everyone is treated with respect.

GENERAL PHILOSOPHY
OF A DE LA SALLE SCHOOL

From the very beginning the schools founded by St. John Baptist De La Salle had as their end the salvation of young people.

In today’s world, changed radically since De La Salle’s time, this fundamental aim of the Brothers’schools remains essentially the same. La Sallian schools throughout the world are characterised by the determination to make the means of salvation available to young people through a quality education and by an explicit proclamation of Jesus Christ.

LA SALLIAN EDUCATIONAL POLICIES are centred on the young, adapted to the times in which they live and designed to prepare them to take their place in society.

LA SALLIAN EDUCATION CONCERNS ITSELF WITH PERSONS

It respects the individuality of each person by taking account of - the character, social situation and vocation of each student. This concern for each student encompasses the whole person his family background, his temperament, his strong points and his special interests and attaches more importance to his real life situations than to elaborate programmes.

In this way students are brought to the point where they can take over progressively the work of their own formation and the school becomes a living community where young people educate one another towards mutual understanding and respect, openness of mind in dialogue, acceptance of uniqueness and limitations of each and the practice of fraternal charity.
