| Our School Mission Statement
A Christian ethos lies at the heart of St. Godric's school community with particular emphasis placed upon the Catholic faith. We foster relations that reflect a caring attitude thereby encouraging respect and mutual trust between children, staff, governors, parents and parishioners. The whole school curriculum is designed to enable each child to maximise his or her potential through the various stages of individual development. In St. Godric's school we strive to create a stimulating environment that will encourage respect for self, others, property and surroundings. As an integral part of the parish of Our Lady of Mercy, St. Godric's and St. Bede, our school fosters its links with the wider community through parish, civic, sporting, educational, business and social ties. |

SCHOOL AIMS
The aims of the school, in partnership with parents and the parish, are:-
To secure the highest educational achievement attainable by each pupil.
To nurture in each child a knowledge and love of the Catholic Faith.
Together, we will endeavour to create a happy and secure environment in which our pupils
will be helped to:-
Develop lively enquiring minds, develop the ability to question and argue rationally,
and to apply themselves to tasks and physical skills.
Use language and numbers effectively.
Understand the world in which they live and their role in it, and to give them the
confidence to proceed to the next stage of their development. |
