OUR VISION AND AIMS
Following much consultation with staff, governors, parents and pupil representatives, the following was agreed.
We aim for Carclaze Junior School to be a place where:
  • Children and adults can share a love of learning in a secure and exciting environment
  • High expectations and achievements are met and everyone succeeds
  • We celebrate diversity
  • We can share worries, concerns, aspirations and challenges, knowing that we will be well supported
  • Equal opportunities for all are established and maintained
  • We celebrate success, embrace challenge and overcome difficulties
We will have met these aims if:
  • Learners are taught through a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum
  • All learners’ needs are well catered for, being supported and extended
  • Everyone feels safe and able to set themselves challenging, achievable targets
  • The whole school community plays an active role within the lives of the learners
  • Learners are excited about learning
  • Learning opportunities are vivid, real and inspiring
  • Clear communication and positive relationships exist between all members of the school community
  • The promotion of self-esteem and positive attitudes is paramount
  • Bullying is not tolerated

GOVERNING BODY

School Governors are people from the school's community who wish to make a positive contribution to children's education.

Our Governors play an important role in the life of Carclaze Juniors.  Our Governing Body consists of twelve members from across all sections of our community, including parent governors, staff at the school, business and local community representatives.
