St Kessog's Primary is an R.C. denominational school situated close to Loch Lomond and serving the areas of Haldane, Jamestown and Balloch in West Dunbartonshire.
We have lots of exciting events for our school community to participate in this term. Details can be found on our newsletter.
Our factfile contains information on our school and we hope you enjoy browsing our site.
Very good support is given to the school from the school board and PTA and there is a very good relationship between school and parish. Other links with the community include a pensioners' club, bowling club, dog training club, a local charity fundraising group and Tullichewan Trust's Hop, Skip and Jump initiative.
The school is responsible for much of its own budget, which is spent in consultation with staff and the school board.
We are part of Our Lady and St Patrick's cluster and work with the cluster to promote healthy living, accelerated learning initiatives and Focus days. Details of these days will be posted soon.
Focus Fridays
|
Fridays are special days in St Kessog's. We learn through our focus of the term where we experience new and exciting activities in our classes. Our first term was Health and Well Being and this term we are working hard to produce an enterprising show. Members of the community and professionals with experience and expertise in our focus are welcome visitors who share their knowledge and enrich our learning.
The opportunity to foster creative skills is fully explored through challenges set each Friday and we are learning to think in new ways, improving our ability to work cooperatively and take ownership of our learning. Our photos show some of the areas of health that we have been learning about throughout the school.
