Abberley Parochial V.C. Primary School is set in the rural village of Abberley, surrounded by beautiful, rolling agriculture scenery. The school grounds provide us with a large playing field, two playgrounds, an adventure playground, pond and horticulture plots and the whole area is surrounded by trees, shrubs and plants.
As a school with a Christian Foundation, the ethos of the school is one of every child being valued for their individuality and we treat all with respect. We have strong links with the Church and have three Foundation governors. We are part of a network of small schools and this provides opportunities for children to meet and work together, sharing sporting and musical events and other occasions. Staff from all schools are able to share training, resources, ideas and expertise.
As part of our ECO project we look after the environment, measure the electricity and water we use, and check on our use of paper. We also have a School Council of elected members, who meet half-termly with Mrs Wylie to discuss children's views.
