Blackwell First School is a small, friendly village school located only 3 miles from central Bromsgrove. With its good reputation and its location near major commuting routes, Blackwell First School draws in pupils from a wide area, both inside and outside the catchment. The School is fortunate to be located within a semi-rural area at the southern tip of the Lickey Hills. It has its own well-equipped playing field with an adventure trail and a safe and secure Woodland Area for the youngest children. The outdoors is also used as a learning environment for the children through the School’s highly-regarded Forest School initiative. Reception Year children spend one afternoon a week with trained staff in a dedicated and safe wooded area using outdoor exploration to build on their Foundation Stage learning.
