Dear Parents

A belated happy new year to you and i hope you all had a lovely Christmas, although it already seems so far away!

A special welcome this term to the new children and parents who have joined Foundation and I know that they are already happily settling into school routines.

I would also like to extend a warm welcome to Mrs Daniels who has begun working in the Lower foundation Nursery) and to Mrs Pickup who also started working in school as a part time classroom assistant.

Please note that this term's parent consultations will be held on 27th February as a pupil review day when the school will be closed to pupils in order that the teachers can see parents during the day or evening, giving flexibility and even more focus to discussions, as teachers will not be meeting you at the end of the teaching day! Appointments will be made in the normal way and details will follow nearer the time. Session times will be 8.30am-12.30pm and 5.30pm-8.00pm

We are all looking forward to a particularly productive day, as were the ones held in previous years and would appreciate your feedback afterwards.

We have had our fair share of children and some staff who have suffered from the sickness and diarrhoea virus, which had swept the country. Please note that we ask that children do not return to school until they have been clear for 48 hours. We had instances before Christmas where children returned to early and were ill at school and also spread the virus, so please support us with this and then we can avoid an unnecessary outbreak.
