Welcome from the Head
Welcome to Cornwood Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School Our school is a rural primary serving the parish of Cornwood, Lutton and the immediate surrounding areas.
As a Church of England Controlled School we maintain links with our local parish church. We encourage the children to develop a Christian ethos in their attitudes and general behaviour.
We aim to create a happy, caring, lively environment for our children. We strive to give them the opportunities to develop their skills so that they will achieve their full potential.
We actively encourage strong links between home and school. Through this firm partnership, built on trust, we believe we can achieve the successful education of each child. Our school is always open, be assured you are most welcome to come into school to see what your child is doing or to discuss a concern. You can see me or the class teacher before school, or if it is a matter that will take some time to discuss, make an appointment as we all have full teaching commitments. In return, we will contact parents immediately when we feel there is a matter which we wish to discuss with them.
We wish our children at Cornwood Primary School to become independent and self disciplined and to be successful socially and academically. We believe the best way of achieving these goals is to create a happy secure atmosphere.
Please do not hesitate to visit or telephone the school if you have any queries.
Yours sincerely
S Higdon (Head Teacher) |
