Hello and welcome to St Michael’s new website.

At St Michael’s we provide a caring environment in a Christian context and offer all children a broad and balanced curriculum in line with National Curriculum requirements. There is also a wide range of extra curricular activities for pupils to extend their individual talents and interests.

Our new school provides an excellent ‘state of the art’ building. This alone does not make a school. Our recent OfSTED report states "staff have created a happy, safe, caring and supportive learning environment".

From the old to the new

The Governors and staff of the school work towards continuous improvement in the quality of education provided for our children so that high standards can be achieved and maintained. Our mission statement is:

St Michael’s Primary School is a co-educational Voluntary Aided Church of England School. The Church has been responsible for providing Christian denominational education in Heavitree for over 150 years.

The Church of St Michael’s and All Angels is a short walk from our school. We celebrate the Christian festivals of Christmas and Easter at the church, when the children perform with music, dance, songs and readings.

Our school has 13 classrooms, a studio, practical room, ICT suite, library and large hall. The grounds provide 2 large playgrounds, football field, quiet seating areas and large environmental area.
