On behalf of the staff, governors and children of our school, may I welcome you to St Nicholas Catholic Primary School.
We extend a warm welcome to children and families of children who wish to find out more about us. If your child is about to join us for the first time, we welcome you as parents and look forward to a happy and successful association over the coming years.
The education we provide is within the teachings of the Catholic Church, St Nicholas’ places Christ at the centre of all we do, children are taught to nurture their relationship with God and through this, their interactions with others. Our whole school community has a common aim ‘to present, live and celebrate the Christian vision’
We offer a talented and committed team of staff who are dedicated to enriching children’s experiences through a rich and diverse curriculum. We offer strong links with the parishes we serve and the wider community.
We believe in the benefits of strong partnership between home and school and are committed to developing this relationship with you as parents to enhance the experience of your children during their time with us.
In September we will be moving location to Ringswell Avenue in Heavitree. The new building is nearing completion and will offer us a state of the art building designed to maximise the learning opportunities for children. As well a larger classrooms, the school will have a dedicated ICT suite, a library, music/dance studio, food technology room and a large hall. The grounds of our new school will enable us, for the first time, to provide outdoor games on a field of our own and a 5 year landscape plan aims to develop wildlife areas and gardening space.
These pages provide you with information on the school, its aims, its curriculum and activities and something of its organisation. However. we warmly welcome any parent wishing to look around our school to see for yourself the education, ethos and commitment we provide at St Nicholas School.
