THE SCHOOL
The school is situated in a residential area of Kings Heath, which is on the southern boundary of Birmingham, close to the border of Hereford and Worcester and Solihull. The school is on a single site down a cul-de-sac close to Brandwood Cemetery.
The school is committed to equal opportunities as regards access to the buildings for pupils, staff, parents and visitors. There are no difficulties with steps or stairs.
The school works hard to provide a warm, welcoming and emotionally secure environment for all pupils and high priority is given to ensuring that the transition from home to school is pleasurable and well ordered.
Parents are regarded as partners in the continuing education of their children and good communication between parents and teachers is encouraged, endeavouring at all times to keep parents fully informed about their children’s learning and how they can effectively support that learning.
There are 20 pupils on the school’s register of special educational needs, including 1 with a statement of special educational needs.
11% of children are eligible for free school meals.
An OFSTED inspection was carried out in the school in February 2001. A summary of the inspection report is attached for your information. |
